Dear Friends and Neighbors, This week, I had the pleasure of speaking with the members of "Learning in Retirement at Iona University" in New Rochelle. It was a great opportunity to share updates on my work and hear directly from our community about their concerns. Many questions centered around the uncertainty surrounding recent government actions and legal challenges, particularly those affecting immigrants, minorities, the LGBTQ community, government programs, nonprofits, and private schools. While it's still unclear how everything will unfold, my best advice is: don't panic, prepare. Take time to understand any potential impacts, have conversations with family and friends, and ensure you know your rights. Most importantly, let's look out for one another. A strong, informed community is the best defense against uncertainty. I want to reassure you that working with my colleagues in government -- our new Congressman, our State representatives, my colleagues in the County, and your local municipal officials -- we are all committed to advocate for our community, push back against policies that cause harm, and fight to responsibly protect our constituents. If my office can assist in any way, please don't hesitate to reach out. For more news and updates on upcoming events, please see my weekly update below. Sincerely,
Judah Holstein Legislator, 10th District Westchester Watch: Legislators Approve Free Park Passes for Veterans; Advance Groundbreaking AI Bill On Monday, the Board took action on key priorities: - Passed an Act offering free County Park passes for all veterans in Westchester.
