Dear Friends and Neighbors, This past weekend, I had the honor of marching in the Eastchester Columbus Day Parade, where this year's honorees included our own DA Susan Cacace and my former Eastchester Board of Education colleague Jackie DiMarco and her family. It was wonderful to see so many families, friends, and neighbors coming together to celebrate our shared pride in Eastchester. After the parade, I had the privilege of visiting the JCC Mid-Westchester to present a $29,000 Community Based Organization (CBO) funding check in support of their aquatics programs for children with special needs. The JCC is one of Westchester's greatest assets, offering programs for people of all faiths and backgrounds — children, families, and seniors alike. I am proud to support them with all my Board colleagues, especially Legislator Ben Boykin, who co-sponsored the funding. The JCC has served our community for generations. I attended a program there as a child when it was the YM-YWHA, my daughter now participates in a program as a young adult, and my niece took gymnastics there during her elementary school years. It is inspiring to see how the JCC continues to enrich lives, decade after decade. As they prepare to celebrate their 70th anniversary, I extend heartfelt congratulations to the staff, leadership, and volunteers who make the JCC such a welcoming and vibrant place. Here's to 70 years of impact — and many more to come. Normally we say, "to 120," but in this case, I hope they continue their good work for many generations to come. Earlier this week, the Board of Legislators met with all county departments to review the 2026 Capital Budget. I was pleased to see several important allocations for District 10, including funding for work on the Bronx River Parkway, the Lake Isle Dam, which must be addressed to help advance broader flooding solutions, and flood mitigation projects across New Rochelle, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe. The budget also features important infrastructure upgrades throughout the county, including significant technology improvements as systems reach the end of life for Windows 10, ensuring county operations remain secure, efficient, and future-ready. These investments are vital to keeping our communities safe, resilient, and prepared for the future. Read more about the budget process, as well as other news and upcoming events, in my weekly update below. This week's highlights include: - District 10 Event
